We love Mexican food, and Que Rico is top notch. We stopped for lunch on a Saturday. There was no wait but they are fairly new at this location. It's a simple menu, with 6 or 7 diners and then 6 choices of tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. All choices very reasonably priced.
We chose a diner, Guisado, sautéed tomatoes and onions finished with roasted tomato salsa. Choices of steak, chicken or veggie are available. Ann chose the chicken and I asked for it to be prepared vegan. I was a little nervous about my choice, fearing it might be flavourless, with no meat or cheese. It was spectacular, an outstanding meal, bursting with flavour. Ann's was sensational as well, we will be back to try more options on the menu, although it will be difficult to not order the Guisado.
Thank you Que Rico for serving such beautiful food , hope to see you again soon. -

One of my favorite spots in Maine! Amazing Mexican classics and delicious Mex innovations! The new menu has some real surprises but the tacos are so amazing I have to force myself to try new things. Super fresh craft salsa, great Mexican beers and sangria! Very nice staff!
The location in an old historic cellar is all the more cool!

Love this spot. It was the last, and BEST place we ate while visiting Maine.
Food was fresh and flavorful. I have been to San Diego, and this place is a rival at the exact opposite end of the country.
We will be back!!! -

Solid offerings--huge cheesy quesadillas. Big burritos with heavy protein. We adored the chorizo, asada and carnitas. The fish in the fish taco was also spot on.
Throw in delectable mild, medium and hot salsa and we are hooked. The portion size on the taco is not huge for $5-$6 but with flavors this authentic, and a picnic area under the tree overlooking the mouth of Damariscotta River... it is easier to overlook.
I gather there are not many authentic examples of Mexican food this neck of the woods. For that reason alone, 5 stars. -

YUM! Every time I come to Maine in the summer I get Que Rico with my family. They have expanded their menu quite a bit over the past few years. My favorites are the chicken burrito or the carnitas tacos. We will usually get nachos to share with everyone as well. All of the food that I have gotten from here is very authentic and delicious. The picnic tables overlook the Damariscotta River so you can eat lunch (or dinner) with a beautiful view! You can also stop in Milling Around which is in the same parking lot - the cutest antique shop!
I can't wait to go to Que Rico again!
